Rich Homie Quan says that Drake can still end up on "Type of Way's" offical remix

Rich Homie Quan says that Drake can still end up on "Type of Way's" offical remix, following Drizzy's comments about the song.
Drake has said that he regrets not being featured on Rich Homie Quan's "Type of Way," but he still has a chance to be on the official remix.
"We still haven't released the official remix, so it's not too late for Drake," Rich Homie Quan told MTV recently. "I'm gonna reach out to him and try to make this happen. I was just really surprised he even noticed the song and I'm just glad it's [to his liking.]"
Quan said that Drake isn't the only rapper he hopes to nab for the official "Type of Way" remix.
"I'd get other people on it also, because the song definitely went to another level and right now I'm feeling a different type of way about a lot of things," Quan said. "We've been trying to keep [the features] a secret because when it hits, it's gonna hit hard. It's partially done, but I'm gonna reach out to Drake and see if we can make some magic, [because] I've always been a fan of his."
Quan's says that he and Drake have spoke recently.
"I met Drake for the first time at Birthday Bash [Atlanta concert]," Quan said. "He embraced me with one of those real hugs, then he told me, 'Whatever you're doing, man, keep doing it. I came here early just to see 'Type of Way.' And I've always been a big fan of Drake. That's one of my major influences."
In July, Drake talked about "Type of Way."
"That record is the song of the summer," he told MTV. "I regret not getting on it, but I feel like now if I get on it, people are gonna be like, 'Ah man, you waited too long.'"

Gucci Mane Exposed.. Owes Money To Promoters??

Gucci Mane tried to pull a fast one and perform two gigs in one night -- in two different states -- so says the pissed off concert promoter, who's suing the alleged two-timing rapper. Empire Entertainment filed a lawsuit against Gucci -- real name Radric Davis -- claiming it paid him $22,500 to perform in Little Rock, Arkansas on November 22nd ... but didn't get their money's worth. Here's why: Empire says prior to the gig, a nightclub in Tennessee began advertising a Gucci show for the same night -- and says Gucci himself promoted it on Twitter. Empire says it called Gucci's people -- who assured them, no TN gig was happening. (TMZ)

But the night of the concert, Empire says it became clear Gucci's people lied ... claiming the rapper only performed 3 songs (15 min of stage time) and then hightailed it 138 miles to perform at the other club. Then drove back to stay in the hotel Empire provided. Empire says Gucci's 2nd gig torpedoed their ticket sales. The company is suing for breach of contract and fraud. It wants all the cash it spent on his fee, hotel, travel and promotions. (TMZ)

Sampha - Dual EP (Review)

Although he’s been producing since he was 13-years-old, Sampha is, so far, best known for his collaborations. The 24-year-old has worked with electronic icon Aaron Jerome, or SBTRKT; he’s produced and provided vocals for high-profile artists like Drake, on his track “The Motion.”

Now, Sampha is breaking away from the sidekick role to focus on his own material. Don’t be fooled—his latest project is nothing like his work with SBTRKT. Dual is an intensely intimate EP full of love, heartbreak and struggle. The opening track, “Demons,” lays down a raw tone that weaves throughout the EP’s six songs. The rough bedroom recording has Sampha ignoring a message on his answering machine, while his phone blows up with text messages in the background. Sampha’s vocals fade in and out as he laments, “Take all these demons and go.” The relaxed nature of the instrumentals somewhat masks the tension in Sampha’s lyrics. As calm keys and smooth beats patter in the background, Sampha reveals an inner struggle on tracks like “Beneath The Tree,” where he sings, “Don’t fail me now, I need your wishes/there’s a monster inside of there/but I’m going to keep it there,” and on “Indecision,” where he hesitantly repeats the phrase, “Let it all work out.”

Sampha’s material finds its footing in smooth piano melodies, with a slight overlay of ambient synths and stripped down drum beats. But of all the instruments he uses, Sampha’s most powerful tool is his voice. He carries a clean and soulful R&B croon that ebbs and flows with emotion, building in grandeur and sliding into soft whispers.

Despite the down-and-out nature of the EP’s content, Dual won’t leave you feeling low. Its subtle euphoria lies within the scope of Sampha’s soft melodies and refreshing instrumental work. Dual is an EP that feels like an LP. It’s lengthy in the sense that you could get trapped in Sampha’s world of cool harmonies for days. And, after several listens, you realize that might not be such a bad thing.
